Like A Mountain Stream

Nature Aids Burnout Recovery

Did you know that spending time in nature can reduce stress and strengthen your immune system? Even looking at pictures of trees and forests can help. Therefore I made a very short nature meditation called “Like A Mountain Stream” to help you unwind and release stress. Enjoy!

Burnout Recovery

When doing research for my book “De-Stress Your Life Turn Chaos Into Calm”  http://bit.ly/DeStressbook I found such good evidence about the health benefits of nature exposure that I now consider time in nature an important part of burnout recovery.

De-Stress Your Life: Turn Chaos Into Calm has a chapter about how nature aids burnout recovery

If you want to learn more about the symptoms and significance of burnout, check out my blog https://deborahrankinrd.com/burnout-everything-you-ever-wanted-to-know/

Burnout is a hit-the-rock-bottom-experience of life. It’s painful and destructive. Many of us don’t realize we are burned out until we look back with better perspective months or even years later. I tell a bit of my burnout story on the about page of this website. https://deborahrankinrd.com/about-deborah-rankin/

I want to help you learn to build the habits of a calm, low-stress life so you don’t ever hit rock bottom like I did. Take my free burnout quiz and see what habits might put you at risk of wearing out physically, emotionally, and socially. https://deborahrankinrd.com/get-the-quiz-here/

Then, tell me about your favorite place in nature. Would you please leave a comment below and tell me where it is? Plan an outdoor activity within the next week and let yourself experience how nature aids burnout recovery.

As always, feel free to share this video with your friends and family via these social media links.

Who knows your good stories?

With the holidays coming up there will be a plethora of opportunities to tell stories, at least if your family is like mine. This year, give some thought to the kind of stories you tell. What you say has the power to either torpedo someone’s confidence and self image, or generate a positive affirmation for
